It is with deep sadness that Musselburgh RFC learned of the death of Barbara (Babs) North earlier this month.
Babs was a much loved member of the MRFC family for nearly two decades, working tirelessly in the kitchen providing meals for players, supporters and guests.
Her steak pie and sticky toffee puddings, always made from scratch, have become stuff of legend.
Babs provided a unique presence in our kitchen and we will always remember her humour, kindness and penchant for a G&T (or Brandy) and a ‘ciggie’.
The club and our kitchen won’t be the same without her and she will be very sadly missed by us all. Thanks for everything Babs and rest in peace.
